Limpopo Provincial Government to host the Premier Employment Growth Advisory Council (PEGAC)

Limpopo Provincial Government under the leadership of Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will host the Premiers Employment Growth Advisory Council (PEGAC) summit on the 22nd of June 2017, at Bela-Bela. The main message of the summit is Together We Move South Africa Forward.

This will be the first bi-annual meeting for the current year. The role of PEGAC is to seek strategic partnerships including the private and government with the aim of job creation and improving quality of life for the people of Limpopo.

Twice every year members of PEGAC meets to strategise on ways that can help increase employment growth in the province and the country at large. PEGAC summit is targeted at academic institutions, economists, civil society, private sectors, and media, local and provincial government. The main aim of the summit is to help decrease the challenge of youth unemployment in the province.

The Premier’s Employment Growth Advisory Council is made up of the Premier, as the chairperson and the members who are experts in the implementation of the objectives of the Limpopo development plan (LDP).
