South Africa: Man in the Dock for R1.5 Million Dagga

The Hawks in Secunda, Mpumalanga, in conjunction with Ermelo K9 and the Caroline SAPS Reservists arrested a man for possession of dagga on Thursday afternoon.

The officers followed up on information about a person who was transporting dagga from Swaziland. The suspect was stopped and his bakkie was searched. He was found in possession of dagga weighing 332.5kg, with a street value of approximately R1.5million.

The 37-year-old suspect is currently appearing before the Carolina Magistrate.
