SOUTH AFRICAN, US PRESIDENTS COMMIT TO STRENGTHENING BILATERAL RELATIONS

South African President Jacob Zuma and United States President Donald Trump have re-affirmed their commitment to strengthening the already strong relations between the two countries.

This came about when the two leaders held a telephone conversation Monday afternoon at the request of President Trump, according to a statement from the Presidency.

The issue of trade and investment topped the discussion between the two leaders. Currently some 600 US companies are doing business in South Africa.

Both leaders also discussed the need to work together on multilateral issues and in the quest for ensuring peace and stability in Africa.
