SOUTH AFRICA’S RULING ANC IN FREE STATE PROVINCE VOICES SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT ZUMA

The ruling African National Congress (ANC) party in South Africa’s Free State Province has voiced its support for President Jacob Zuma, saying he is not going anywhere.

As the ANC in the Free State, we will always be there for the president because he was elected by (the ANC national) conference in 2012 in Mangaung and his term will end in 2017, said ANC Free State Secretary William Bulwane at a media conference here Monday.

The organization also weighed in on the current state of politics in the country as Bulwane came out guns blazing, telling the people of Free State that the president would complere his full term in office.

The Free State ANC Women’s League chairperson, Olly Mlamlelli, attacked former Public Protector (Ombudsman) Thuli Madonsela for the way in which she handled the State capture investigations.

The ANC Youth League meanwhile said Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan must have his day in court. They addedthat the Gupta family was being unfairly targeted as it touched on the nerves of established White businesses.

Free State Premier Ace Magashule expressed support for former South African Broadcasting Corporation(SABC) Chief Operating Officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng, saying Motsoeneng started at the SABC when Thabo Mbeki was president and went on to transform the broadcaster.

The Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) also resolved to continue engaging its former members who have joined other political parties in an attempt to lure them back into the party.
