On Wednesday, 19 August 2020 between 12:00 and 15:00, a Crime intelligence operation was conducted at Mpendle locality in conjunction with Mount Fletcher operational command centre members and the Maluti stock Theft Unit.
Positive information was followed up during the operation and fifteen goats were recovered. The animals were abandoned by the suspect next to his home stead.
After the operation the recovered goats were positively identified by their lawful owner at Drayini location Katkop Policing Area. The recovered goats were stolen from the kraal early the morning on 19 August 2020 at about 02:00.
The value of the recovered goats is estimated at R29 000.00 and were handed over to the lawful owner.
