ZWELITSHA – The South African Police Service in the Eastern Cape is appealing to the community for assistance on the whereabouts of a suspect in a case of defeating the course of Justice and theft of two police case dockets in the East London Magistrate’s Court.

The suspect, Mr Phakamani Gasela aged (34), is described as a defence attorney who was involved in the recent case where a Prosecutor was arrested and charged for stealing dockets in East London. The suspect is wanted by the police so that he can be made to appear in court to face charges levelled against him. The court has issued a warrant of arrest in this regard. He is believed to be evading prosecutions.

Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect is requested to contact the nearest police station or the Investigating officer Sergeant David Montshojang at 073 524 4214 or 082 442 3752.
