A man arrested for stock theft in Kuruman

NORTHERN CAPE – On Wednesday, 20 May 2020 at about 18:00 a 58-year-old man was arrested by Kuruman stock theft unit members. He was arrested after a case of stock theft was opened at Tsineng. It is further reported that the suspect slaughtered a cow to the value of R15 000-00.
Moreover, one member of stock theft unit together with some community members tracked the footprints from the scene to the suspect’s residence at Penryn village. On arrival meat was found. The other meat was found at Hotazel and Madibeng.
The man was arrested after the complainant identified his cattle with a brand mark.
The suspect will appear before the local magistrate court soon on a charge of stock theft.
