Abbas Condemns Turkey’s Gaziantep Deadly Attack

President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday condemned the deadly blast which killed about 50 Turks in the Turkish city of Gaziantep last night.

Abbas offered condolences to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyib Erdogan, the families of the victims, and the entire people of Turkey on the death of the 50 Turkish nationals. He also expressed hope of an immediate recovery of the injured.

At least 50 people have been killed and 94 more wounded in an explosion which targeted a wedding ceremony in Turkey’s southeastern province of Gaziantep, near the Syrian border.

The blast, which occurred at around 11pm local time on Saturday in the Akdere neighborhood of Sahin Bey district, was a “terror attack”, according to Ali Yerlikaya, the governor of Gaziantep.
