NORTHERN CAPE – Maokeng Murder (two counts). Three suspects including a police officer from Flying Squad in Welkom were arrested for the murder of the policeman’s aunt and her son in October 2018.
Accused number 2 Pule Martin Sebetoane aged 37 pleaded guilty today at the High Court in Bloemfontein and he was sentenced as follows: Count 1 murder 23 years Count 2 murder 23 years count 3 robbery aggravating 12 years.
The trial of a police officer and the other suspect will be heard at a High Court in Kroonstad from 19 to 29 November 2019.
