The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in partnership with the Free State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will host the 8th national Biennial LandCare Conference in Bloemfontein from 25 to 27 September 2018. The conference will be held under the theme: “LandCare partnerships and technology pathways enabling all communities to restore agricultural and environmental health for lasting food security.”

LandCare is a community-based and led and government supported programme with a goal to optimise productivity and sustainability of natural resources leading to greater productivity, food security, job creation and a better life for all. The conference will also provide a platform to showcase strategies in address land degradation.
