KWAZULU-NATAL – A 60-year-old man is in custody after he was arrested during a covert operation by the Hawks’ Serious Crime Investigation team in Asherville today, 25 May 2021.

It is alleged that the suspect sold heroin capsules to an undercover police officer and was immediately arrested at his place of residence on Clayton Road in Asherville. Heroin capsules with cash suspected to be the proceeds of drug dealing were confiscated.

He was charged for dealing in drugs and will appear in the Durban Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, 26 May 2021.
