Alleged drug dealer to appear in court

GAUTENG – A 44-year-old alleged drug dealer is expected to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate Court on Monday, 21 September 2020, for alleged possession of heroin.
The suspect’s case follows a 2018 incident when he was arrested by the Johannesburg Serious Organised Crime Investigation for with a stockpile of heroin worth an estimated R5.6 million in the boot of his vehicle in Florida.
His case was provisionally withdrawn pending an analysis report from the forensic services. The forensic report finally confirmed that the stash was actually heroin.
A warrant of arrest was issued and upon executing it at the suspects’ house, it was found that he was arrested on another separate drug charge by the Brixton SAPS Trio Task Team on Thursday.
Despite, he was duly served with the warrant of arrest and he will appear in court on Monday.
