Three accused were arrested for dealing in drugs and possession of drugs in Phoenix area last week.

The three were arrested in two separate disruptive operations conducted by Hawks members from Durban Organised Crime Investigation unit, Crime Intelligence and Durban Metro Police.

Brian Veeran (40) was arrested at Bridgevale Crescent area on Thursday. He was found in possession of 396 rock cocaine and 30 mandrax tablets to the street value of approximately R159 400.00. He appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on 11 January 2019.

On Friday, members arrested Selan Chetty (22) and Sphamandla Machi (23) at Hartside Place in Phoenix. They were found in possession of 150 mandrax and 36 crack cocaine to the street value of approximately R21 900.00. They both appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court today.
