ANGOLA PICKED AS HOST FOR 5TH CONGRESS OF AFRICAN CONSITUTIONAL JUDICIARY IN 2019

LUANDA, May 8 (NNN-ANGOP) — Angola will organize the 5th Congress of the Constitutional Judiciary of the African Continent in July 2019, according to a statement received from the Constitutional Court by Angop following a unanimous decision taken at the 4th Congress of the organization held in April in Cape Town.

Under the decision, Angola will host and chair the Constitutional Court of Justice in Africa in 2019.

The document described the decision to pick Angola as the host of the meeting was a tribute to the country for the progress it had achieved in constitutional justice.

The organization comprises 35 member countries and seven observers, including the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil.
