Aspiring Models to Dazzle At Pearl Look 2015

Mary Ekah This year’s edition of Pearl Look Model competition will have young aspirating models fulfill their long-term desires of displaying their talent on the runway to the delight of an international audience at an event billed to hold in Lagos next week.
Pearl Look, an initiative of the renowned international model, Olatokunbo Adeoyin Haastrup, is a fresh initiative born out of a burning desire to give back to society by empowering young ladies. It is a platform for young aspiring models to achieve their dreams; the event has been set up in such a way that each contestant participating in the competition will be trained and ready to face the challenge of the modeling industry.
The maiden edition held March 2013 in Lagos had Julia Otobo emerging as the winner. She got a work permit with Ice Model management in Johannesburg, South Africa with free accommodation for the first three months, flight ticket and $1000 travelling allowance. While the third edition held in March 2014 had Bukola Anthony emerged as winner, She was given a three-year work permit with Ice Model management in South African with free accommodation for three months, light ticket and 41.500 traveling allowance.
The third edition of this laudable modeling contest had, which comes up on April 4 at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island at 5pm, had all the contestants travelled to South Africa on tour, where they were accommodated in Johannesburg for one week and in South Africa, the most glamorous model among them, won a free night accommodation at Michael Angelo Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The winner of the Pearl Look 2015 will get a huge payment of salary for six months and will be signed as a model for one year at Ice Model management in South Africa.
After one year, the model will have to come back to Nigeria and can thereafter go back to renew her contract with Ice Model if she so wishes.
Tokad International is the brain behind the Pearl Look 2015, which had it casting in Calabar, Port Hacourt Benin City, Abuja and Lagos in November 2014 with over 800 contestants coming for the casting but were trimmed down to just 15 final contestants who will battle it out come April 4 in Lagos.
This year’s event will be hosted by radio personalities Yaw and Lolo1 while judges to screen the contestants will include: Direct Ice Model Management South Africa, Jane Celliers, Actor, Victor Olaotan, Multi Award winning TV presenter, actress s and producer Tana Adelana, celebrity Art and Fashion Photographer, Reze Bonna, Makeup Artist, Lola Maja and 1st Runner up BBA Hotshot, Akintayo Faniran.
Yaw a versatile and seasoned host and Lolo as co-host will be introducing surprising and competitive twists and guests are sure to be thoroughly entertained. Tickets for the show will be available at the event venue on the April 4.
