DURBAN – The Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is seeking assistance from members of the community with regards to a sexual assault case that they are investigating. It is alleged that on 14 April 2018 at 03:00, a 20-year-old woman was sleeping in her room in Umbilo when she was sexual assaulted by a man who entered the house.

A case of sexual assault was opened at the Umbilo police station and was transferred to the Brighton Beach FCS Unit for investigation. The investigating officer is searching for the man in the attached identikit and believes that he can assist in solving this case. He is tall in height, slender built and dark in complexion.
