Body of murdered woman found in Motherwell

Crimes against women and children is serious especially when they have to succumb to such heinous torture therefore these perpetrators must be apprehended and sent prison

It is alleged that on Saturday, 10 February 2018 between 13:00- 14:00, the body of an unknown female (aged between 20-25 years) was found lying in a storm water drain in an open field in Zunga and Xabana Streets, NU5 in Motherwell. According to police information, a passer-by reported to police, who on arrival found the female, semi naked. Her head and face was covered with a plastic bag. It is further alleged that she may have been suffocated. A post mortem will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death and also to ascertain whether she was raped.
