UPINGTON The community radio station in Upington “Radio Riverside” is celebrating 20 years birthday and they identified 20 people to present their different shows. Brigadier Sampie Koopman was one of the identified people given the positive influence and contribution that he is making as a community member and the accounting station commander who has been serving in the Upington area for a number of years.

Brigadier Koopman presented the show “Die Kollig” on Tuesday night, 22 October 2019. He interviewed two retired school principals of Rosendal Primary School Mr Deen Mouton and Mrs Allen Allies. The discussion was based on the current crime situation and social ills in schools where they shared opinions on what could be done to improve that.

They also took time to wish all the Matric learners the best with the examinations and encouraged them to use this time effectively and efficiently on what is beneficial for them to gain the best results.
