King William’s Town – Provincial office together with the Academy held a career exhibition at All Saints Academy this morning.

The exhibition aimed at equipping and developing the trainees that are currently on training. SAPS departments shared information on their fields to enlighten the trainees into making good career choices within the organization. Colonel Babi from Provincial HRU made a career overview explaining the mission and vision of SAPS. He further explained to them the importance of having a plan as they are now going to serve the public. “We want to expose all trainees on various careers within the organization and also guide them” he said.

There were also presentations from other sections within the SAPS like Technology Management Services, Human Resource Development, Hawks, Forensic, Legal Services and Employee Health and Wellness.

Lieutenant Colonel Arends he also explained to the trainees about sports activities within SAPS that they can engage themselves on other than chasing criminals.

The exhibition closed off with demonstrations from Search and Rescue, Bomb Disposal, Forensic, Flying Squad and K9 to show the trainees practical experience.
