KING WILLIAM’S TOWN – Centane Police arrested a 31-year-old man for alleged rape of a 67-year-old woman. It is alleged that the victim was asleep alone at her home at Feni Village, Centane on Saturday, 06 April 2019 at about 24h00.
It is alleged that the suspect kicked the door down and entered the home of the victim. The suspect did not say anything but accosted the victim and overpowered her. It is then alleged that he raped the elderly woman.
The victim managed to identify the suspect. The suspect was arrested on Sunday, 07 April 2019 in the early hours at Feni Village, Centane. The suspect will appear before the Centane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 April 2019 on a charge of rape.
