KING WILLIAM’S TOWN: Centane Police arrested a 56 year old man for possession of unlicensed fire and two (2) rounds of ammunition. The suspect was arrested on Friday 04 May 2018 during the morning at Mthwaku Location, Cebe Village, Centane.

The suspect had allegedly pointed someone with the fire arm. Initially a case of pointing with fire arm was opened against the suspect. When he was arrested, the fire arm namely a pistol with two (2) rounds of ammunition was recovered from the suspect.

The suspect has been formally charged with pointing of fire arm, possession of unlicensed fire arm and ammunition. The fire arm will be circulated to establish its lawful owner. The fire arm will further be sent for ballistic test to establish if it was not used in the commission of crime around Centane. The suspect will appear before the Centane Magistrate Court on Monday 07 May 2018.
