City advises of water disruption in Hout Bay area: 21 February 2020

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department is currently attending to urgent repairs on a link to the water main that supplies the Hout Bay area. This has resulted in the disruption of the water supply in and around the entrance to Hout Bay in the vicinity of Chestnut Drive, Brideon Close and Blackwood Close. Read more below:

The work involves mechanical alterations and a shutdown is required to ensure a safe and uninterrupted working environment to effect the repairs as soon as possible.

Residents are kindly requested to keep their taps closed during the repairs to prevent any water loss or damage when the water supply is restored.

A water tanker will be roaming through the area to provide water for domestic consumption during this period.

The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their patience.

It is imperative that we attend to the repairs to ensure the supply of good quality drinking water to our consumers.

The water supply will be restored by this evening should all go according to plan.
