City advises of water supply disruption in Constantia Nek area

The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Department will be conducting scheduled maintenance on the water supply network in the Constantia Nek area to Hout Bay Main Road, on Thursday, 5 March 2020.

Residents of the Constantia Nek area to Hout Bay Main Road are advised that repair work on the water supply line currently feeding their areas may cause low pressure/intermittent supply between 21:00 and 04:00 on Thursday, 5 March 2020.

The City is making adjustments to the water network in the area to ensure supply is maintained as far as possible while repairs are underway.

Residents are also advised to make sure that taps are left in the closed position during this period to prevent any water loss and/or water damage when supply is restored. It is also advisable to store water in clean, sealed containers for use during this period.

This work forms part of the City’s Water Demand Management Plan and will significantly reduce the occurrence of burst pipes and subsequent water losses.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience that may be caused.
