City advises on reduced operating hours over festive season

The City of Cape Town’s non-emergency call centre operating hours will be reduced over the festive season. The reduced hours will apply to accounts and general enquiries only.

During the festive season the city will implement reduced office hours when the call centre will be operational from 07:00 to 17:30 from 13 December 2019 to 5 January 2020.

Importantly, water related enquiries will be dealt with as per normal with a dedicated 24-hour line.

The Electricity Technical Operation Centre, as well as the Transport Information Centre, will continue to be operational during this period for all electricity and road reserve-related service faults and transport enquiries.

For electricity related enquiries residents can send a SMS to 31220.

The public can also visit the City of Cape Town’s website: www.capetown.gov.za to log a service request.
