City currently undertaking emergency repairs to water infrastructure

The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Department is conducting emergency repairs to a burst water pipe in Constantia Road in Wynberg. Read more below:

The repair work will result in the disruption of the water supply in Lower Victoria Road and low water pressure in the area next to Norman Henshilwood. The repair work is currently underway and will be completed by 20:30 tonight.

The burst has necessitated the diversion of traffic between Wynberg and Constantia along Constantia Road.

Traffic from Constantia will be directed into Victoria Road as Gabriel Road has been closed and traffic from Wynberg to Constantia may proceed as usual, otherwise, alternate routes will need to be used.

All taps must be kept closed during this period to prevent any water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.

The City apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused while conducting these emergency repairs.
