City’s Goodwood MVRL office open for business on Saturdays

Residents will now be able to visit the City of Cape Town’s Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing (MVRL) Office in Goodwood on Saturdays, making its service offerings more convenient for the public. The office handles motor vehicle licence renewals, vehicle registrations and licence payments.

In response to the demand for these services, the Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing (MVRL) Office in Goodwood will now be open on Saturdays.

This is an example of how the City is doing everything in its power to make its service offerings more convenient for residents.

This office handles motor vehicle licence renewals, vehicle registrations and licence payments.

‘The nearby Bellville MVRL office has been inundated on Saturdays, indicating the demand for assistance over the weekend. The extension of the operating hours of this office to include Saturdays will hopefully reduce the length of the queues at the Bellville office. It will also assist residents of Goodwood and surrounding areas by reducing the stress of trying to get there on a weekday which is difficult for many people.

‘The City is dedicated to making services more accessible to our residents. We are transforming how our City works to make it a more customer-centric, responsive organisation which serves all the people of Cape Town. It is important that all of our customer services become more convenient and accessible to our residents. We must continue to take service delivery to the next level and opening this office on a Saturday is an example of that in action,’ said Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Alderman Ian Neilson.
