CHRIS HANI – Commercial Crime investigating Unit is investigating a number of fraud cases after unsuspected buyers were scammed while trying to buy livestock advertised on social media.

According to the information from the complainants there was a fraudulent Facebook page advertising livestock using Langside Farm situated at Queenstown.

Many communities even outside Chris Hani District responded to the scam and ended up being victims after depositing money.

Police encourage community members to please verify information before making any deposit through social media.
