Pretoria: The Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture has expressed its appreciation for the recent achievements of South African teams, especially highlighting the Under-20 team's victory in becoming champions after 13 years.
According to African Press Organization, the Chairperson of the committee, Mr. Joe McGluwa, commended the South African teams' accomplishments, noting the resilience and determination displayed in overcoming challenges. He remarked on the pride that comes with such success and the difficulty in resisting the urge to boast about these achievements.
The Under-20 team, known as the Baby Boks, led by Norton and Foote, emerged triumphant against New Zealand in Italy. Mr. McGluwa emphasized that the team demonstrated their championship aspirations from the onset, with the outcome being anticipated by many South Africans who had confidence in the team's potential to secure the title.
