De Aar Post Office burgled

In the early hours of, Friday, 5 February 2021 the De Aar Post Office Post Master was met by an unwelcoming scene and fumes of a grinder as they reported for duty with his colleagues. They noticed that the private parcel counter was tampered with as its security gate was blocking the door from opening and immediately called the police.
On arrival the police investigated the scene with all role players present on the scene and discovered that the door to the strong room was grinded and undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the safe.
No arrest has been made as yet and De SAPS urges anyone with information that could lead to the apprehension of the burglars to please assist with information to call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
