Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Deputy Minister, Honourable Andries Nel will address the launch of the election guide manual that has been themed: Electing Councillors: A Guide to the Municipal Elections. This guide will assist voters in understanding the updated rules for South Africa’s upcoming municipal elections.

It explains the rules for voter registration, party registration, ward candidates and party lists. It also outlines what happens on voting day, including how votes are counted and how results are determined.
