Deputy Minister Morolong to Lead Engagement with KZN Province

Durban: The Deputy Minister in The Presidency, Kenny Morolong, is set to lead a delegation from the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) on Wednesday in an engagement with the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Executive Council. This meeting aims to enhance coordination of government communication, nation branding, and support for community media within the province.

According to South African Government News Agency, the engagement will include participation from the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) and Brand South Africa (Brand SA). These organizations are collaborating to support the government's communication policy advocacy program, which seeks to establish a coordinated and integrated communication system across all levels of government.

The Presidency noted that this engagement is part of a broader nationwide rollout, following similar sessions in the North West, Free State, and Mpumalanga. The initiative is designed to strengthen communication planning, foster a cohesive national narrative, promote community media, and advance South Africa's nation-branding objectives.
