Deputy Minister of Police,Mr Bongani Mkongi to host the School and Campus Safety Dialogue in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal

KWAZULU-NATAL – Deputy Minister of Police,Mr Bongani Mkongi has embarked on a roadshow hosting School and Campus Safety Dialogues.

The inaugural dialogue was held on Saturday 13 April 2019 at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town under the theme -ON A JOURNEY TO A SAFER SOUTH AFRICA: building safer learning environment

The dialogues are part of an ongoing process to create safer learning environments.

In May 2018 the Ministry of Police launched the campus safety program at the Tshwane University of Technology, this was followed by the national youth crime prevention summit which developed a roadmap with key critical pillars.

These pillars of youth crime prevention includes school and campus safety.

Various Stakeholders and role player from the Education sector and the different communities in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal will participate in the dialogue.
