As part of improving service delivery, the Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Mr. Thabang Makwetla will visit the Barberton Management Area in Mpumalanga, on Wednesday 22 July 2015.

The Deputy Minister is concluding his roadshows visiting various correctional centres across the country, as part of government’s approach to get public servants committed to serving citizens and to find ways to improve service delivery. The visits are also about moving the Department of Correctional Services from merely a rules-bound approach that hinders the delivery of services to an approach that encourages innovation and is results driven.

Media is invited to join Deputy Minister Makwetla for a walk-about at the Barberton prison while interacting with various inmates.
