Drug dealers dealt a hard blow in Kimberley

NORTHERN CAPE – Members of Kimberley K9 and Provincial Organized Crime dealt drug dealers in the Kimberley city centre a hard blow today, 05 January 2021 at 16:00 when they searched rooms in Stockdale Street in the Central Business district.
The team reacted on information and searched the identified premises which are alleged to be occupied by drug dealers. However, there were no occupants but the members discovered (28) twenty eight small transparent plastic bags filled with suspected CAT with an estimated street value of R580 000-00. An enquiry docket was opened for further investigation.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner, Maj Gen Henriette de Waal commended the members for the outstanding success and stated that the police will continue to adopt a zero tolerance approach towards all forms of crime, especially during this period of alert level 3 of the Lockdown.
