Duo caught with cloning devices in Parklands

Western Cape: Members of a specialised unit in the South African Police Service reacted to information received about a premises where bank cards were being cloned.

On Tuesday 10 July 2018, shortly before noon, the unit, assisted by various other internal role players, executed a search warrant at a residence in Fernwood Street, Parklands.

A man and a woman aged in their thirties were arrested after various paraphernalia used to clone cards were confiscated at the residence. The duo was taken to the Table View Police Station for further detention and was charged with the illegal possession of electronic devices used to commit fraud.
