EASTERN CAPE – Dutywa Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide. It is alleged that an Avanza that was driven from Dutywa town on Saturday, 07 March 2020 at about 17h15 had an accident along R408 road near Magileni Village, Dutywa.

The Avanza did not collide with another vehicle as it rolled and in the process three people were fatally injured. The deceased were the driver and two female passengers between the ages of 25 and 60.

Seven other passengers were seriously injured and were all rushed to Butterworth hospital. The cause of the accident is not known as it is investigated by Dutywa Police detectives. The identities of the deceased are still being withheld until all their relatives are officially informed of their deaths.
