EASTERN CAPE East London Flying Squad under the command of Captain Vumiso hosted an excellence awards today at 10111 centre today.

The event was initiated by the commander to boost the morale of the members. After he initiated the event he took it up to the provincial level and it was approved. He contributed to buy the trophies out of his own pocket to motivate his members.

Members were awarded with trophies and certificates by the East London Station Commander Brigadier Mxolisi Mqotyana, Lt Col Raats and Captain Qoboka. Members were so impressed to see that their effort to fight crime is being recognised by the superiors.

The event went well with lot of appreciation. Brigadier Mqotyana also motivated the members to do more and he mentioned that they are all dedicated in the unit and their quick response on attending to the crime scenes is noted.
