Results of the Municipal By-elections held on 26 October 2022
During the by-elections contested yesterday in the Eastern Cape, the African National Congress (ANC) retained its seat.
The new councillor for the ANC is:
• Siphokazi Madyum in Ward 07, in King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality – EC157: The party retained the seat won in the 2021 Municipal Elections with 73,91% of the votes cast, compared to 57.06% during the 2021 Municipal Elections. Voter turnout yesterday was 16.82%.
