Employment and Labour revives Marble Hall visit point

In response to an outcry of the influx of seasonal farm workers retrenched in the Marble Hall area, the Department of Employment and Labour has implemented a strategy to meet the needs of the clients by reviving the Marble Hall visiting point which was closed due to uncontrollable circumstances.

According to the Director Beneficiary Services, Vuledzani Mulindi, the closure of the visiting point has affected clients forcing them to travel longer distances to get departmental services.

“The reopened visiting point will be operational from Monday to Tuesday every week from 7h30 till 16h00, and it is temporarily located at the Marble Hall Municipality whilst the process of a permanent office is underway,’’ said Mulindi.

He indicated that the provincial rapid response team will be assisting with UIF applications which will be captured, processed and approved on the spot. Clients are encouraged to bring their identity documents, UI2.8, UI-19 and a salary schedule when coming to the visiting point for UIF related claims.

“We strive to ensure that services are accessible across the province and client’s needs are prioritised and attended to,” he concluded.

He further acknowledged the municipal manager for providing them with space where clients can be served.
