Department of energy hosts an Experience Sharing Workshop on Investment

The Department of Energy in partnership with General Electric will be hosting a one-day workshop on lessons to learn from other African countries in addressing service delivery and development challenges. The workshop will focus on Health, Transport, Aviation, Energy, Oil and Gas sectors. Part of the discussion will be on how these sectors can contribute to the President’s $100 billion investment drive, sharing experiences from, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nigeria and Ghana.

The workshop will explore programmes and policies that are needed to encourage cross regional trade and investment. President Ramaphosa has set attracting investment from other African countries into South Africa as one of his priorities.
