Gqeberha: Detectives at SAPS Bethelsdorp is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin and the identity of a woman whose body was found at a dumping site in Rietkuil Road in Booysens Park on Friday.
It is alleged that at about 14:00 on Friday, 5/03, a member of public who went to dump rubble on an open dumping site on the gravel road linking Bethelsdorp and Greenbushes was informed by a vagrant about a semi burnt body lying in an open space.
Police were immediately alerted and the body of a female was found. The body was in the advanced state of decomposition. Police suspect that the body may have been lying at the dump for about 3-4 weeks. Her head, arms and back were covered in black soot. Her black hair was also partially burnt. Her face is not recognisable. She was wearing a blue top.
It is alleged that the deceased is a coloured female, between 20 and 30-year-old. On her right shoulder, she has a tattoo of a flower.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
