HENNENMAN – The ex-boyfriend took a woman from her home under the pretence that they must fix their relationship problems. The victim was kept for three days against her will and managed to escape.

On 10 April 2022, from 19:00 until 13 April 2022 at 06:00, a 27-year-old woman alleges that she was kept and locked up against her will at the residence of her ex-boyfriend in Phomolong Hennenman.

The victim alleged that on 10 April 2022, at about 15:00, he came under the pretence that he wants to solve issues in their relationship. She agreed and went along with the ex-boyfriend to his residence. On arrival, they were drinking tea when the boyfriend accused the victim that she killed the child they had together. Apparently the child passed on and was buried a month ago.

The victim was assaulted and kept against her will for three days until 13 April 2022 at about 06:00, when she managed to escape while the suspect was asleep. Hennmenan SAPS members were informed and responded instantly.

A 31-year-old man was arrested and will appear soon in the Hennenman Magistrate’s Court.
