KING WILLIAMS TOWN – Police are continuing with Safer Festive Season Operations to ensure safety of the community. They conducted these operations on CBD, Zwelitsha and Stutterheim policing areas.

Police were busy with stop and search and managed to arrest two suspects both aged 44 years, in possession of TIK. They continued to Zwelitsha Township where they closed an illegal shebeen for non-compliance.

Police also conducted foot patrols and people were searched and dangerous weapons were recovered and confiscated. During the patrols at the Taxi ranks they found abandoned dagga. Initiation schools were also visited for safety.

Both suspects will appear tomorrow at King Williams Town Magistrate Court.
