Five men arrested for theft of bank cards at ATM

NORTHERN CAPE – Five men aged between 35 and 45 suspected to be stealing bank cards by manner of swapping them at ATM, from unsuspecting bank card holders have been locked behind bars.

It is alleged that a man in his early 30’s was busy withdrawing money at the ATM near Galeshewe when he was robbed of his bank card. Apparently the suspects jammed the victim’s bank card into the ATM, and immediately some cash was withdrawn from his account without his authorization. After the incident the suspects were seen driving around in a white Quantum Kombi near Saka Location in Galeshewe. They were swiftly arrested.

They are expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court soon. Police investigation continues. Source: South African Police Service
