Four arrested for possession of stolen stock

On Sunday, 22 December 2019 two Constables working at Van Zylsrus SAPS, Mogomotsi Moremi and Letlhogonolo Moseki were busy with patrol duties when they stopped a green Nissan Sentra. In the vehicle there were four occupants, three males and one female aged between 44 and 61 years.

The two officers found meat in the boot of the vehicle. The four failed to give clarity to the two officials as to where did they get the meat.

Preliminary investigation revealed that three calves from Satrim farm were slaughtered. The value of the three calves is R15 000-00.

The car was confiscated and the four occupants arrested. The suspects will appear before the local magistrate court soon. The cluster Commander of JTG Major General Johan Bean complimented and applauded the two Constables Moremi and Moseki for the job well done.
