Pretoria – The Gauteng Department of Education has temporarily suspended the online application website due to technical challenges.

“The department is currently attending to these technical challenges to ensure that the website is up and running by Wednesday, 13 April 2016,” the department said in a statement.

The department announced on Sunday the start of the admissions process for Grade 1 and 8 for the 2017 academic year.

First time Grade 1 and Grade 8 applicants, including those relocating from other areas were encouraged to register their details online at www.gdeadmissions.gov.za.

The department has appealed for patience while it is working on fixing the technical challenges and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
