Gidi Culture Festival Set to Excite Africans

No doubt, Nigeria’s image will receive a boost, while the city of Lagos is expected to witness a large influx of tourists, as Eclipse Live Africa will be hosting the second edition of Gidi Culture Festival, an event that showcases top musicians and comedians in Africa. The festival, which holds on April 4, at Eko Atlantic, can already boast an impressive roster of African talents, day-time festivities and partners that are working to ensure that GCFest turns out a huge success.
The festival’s daytime activities include: the Fayrouz Art installation, a Volleyball tournament sponsored by Red Bull, The Melting Pot being managed by Nylah’s Catering, beach football and Kiddie’s Corner Fun Zone. With Lynxxx, Fade Ogunro and Osas Ighodaro as celebrity team captains, the volleyball and football tournaments will offer an opportunity for fans to take on their favourite celebrities.
It will feature performances by star artistes such as Burna Boy, Sean Tizzle, Iyanya, Yung L, R2Bees, Efya, Vanessa Mdee, The Veterans Band, Helen, Skales, Akpororo,Ehiz, Zainab Balogun, Kore Brown and Mercy alongside DJ Poppaey and DJ Spinall
Others are: Congo’s Awilo, M.I., SDC, Waje, Falz, Ghana’s EL, Kenya’s Victoria Kimani, Rwanda’s Urban Boyz (Rwandair ambassadors), Temi Dollface and Ebisan. DJ Neptune, DJ Lambo and South Africa’s DJ Gino Brown along with host N6 and UK Comedian Eddie Kadi. Eko Hotel is Gidi Culture Festival’s official hotel partner, while Remy Martin is expected to provide an Artiste Lounge. Gidi Culture Festival was founded by Chin Okeke, Teme Banigo and Bimbo Shittu to provide live, affordable and accessible entertainment to the African youths.
