“From South Africa, we have Stimela, Zonke, Mango Groove, Tshepo “The Village Pope” Tshola and Mahotella Queens,” she said. Local acts are Punah Gabasiane, Hellen, The Metrophones, Dikakapa, Banjo Mosele and Lister Boleseng.

“People cannot wait for March 28, and we already have fans from as far as Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia just to mention who would be coming for the show,” she said.
On how artistes were selected for the show, Debbie said they interacted with fans on social networks and asked for their opinions on which artistes they should bring for this year’s edition.
“That is why Tshepo “The Village Pope” Tshola is coming back because he was performing here last year. People love him so much and we just had to bring him back,” she said. She indicated that The Village Pope was so excited to come back to Botswana.
“I was on the phone with him the other day and he is so excited to be coming back,” she said, adding that the elder statesman recently won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Metro FM South African Music awards along with Mahotella Queens.
About the availability of tickets and where people can get them, Debbie indicated that they have different categories of tickets.
“We have the Early Bird tickets which are P250, the Early Bird VIP tickets for P800, Regular tickets for P350, VIP tickets for P 1200 and Family tickets for P1 200,” she said.
Furthermore, Debbie said the Early Bird tickets are still available but selling out very fast. “Sadly the Early Bird VIP tickets have been sold out.
The Regular and VIP tickets for P350 and P1 200 are still available,” she said.
“The Family tickets are still available and admit four adults but not in the VIP section.
The Family ticket is actually very good because it allows one to bring their family may it be an uncle, aunt, mother or father,” she said.
On the issue of cooler boxes being allowed at the venue, Debbie said they had a meeting with their beverage sponsors and agreed that cooler boxes would be allowed only on three conditions.
“Firstly, a cooler box should have a six pack of any KBL alcoholic beverage inside it, secondly one has to pay P50 per cooler box and thirdly the cooler boxes will be allowed till 3pm and not after that,” she said, adding that people should not drag cooler boxes the size of fridges to the event.
She said as the event organisers, they encourage people to drink responsibly and not drink.
