Warden: The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Warden has registered a missing person’s file and launched a search for 15-year-old Thabiso Pone. Thabiso’s mother, Ms. Pone of Plot D, Warden, alleges that on Friday, 31 October 2025, at approximately 18:00, she was working in the garden with her son when he asked to go to the toilet and did not return.
According to South African Police Service, after an immediate and unsuccessful search for him at a friend’s home, the mother reported the matter to the Warden police station. A missing person’s file was registered, and the Station Commander immediately mobilised a search party.
Thabiso Pone was last seen by his mother wearing light grey tracksuit pants, a red t-shirt, and black sneakers. The case has been transferred to and will be investigated by the Vrede Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit.
The SAPS is appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thabiso Pone is urged to contact Vrede FCS Standby number on 071 686 0414 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Alternatively, an anonymous tip-off can be dropped via the MySAPS App.
