Information on rape suspects sought

Mthatha police are looking for information that might lead to the arrest of 3 gunmen that raped 4 learners, with ages between 19 and 21 at their rented rooms at Mqhekezweni in Bityi today.

It is alleged that 3 unknown gunmen before they could gain entrance in the house that the victims were sleeping in, they fired some shots, broke the windows, kicked the door open and they afterwards forcefully took the 04 victims and raped them in the dongas.

The Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Mandlakhe Twala criticised and discouraged the incident and said “We will hunt you and you will face the law. Nobody has got a right to terrorise women and children.”
